John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland Surrenders

1536 – Henry Fitzroy died

1377 – Richard II succeeds Edward III as king of England

Richard of Bordeaux, later to be known as Richard ll, succeeded Edward lll as king of England in July 1377.  Richard was grandson to Edward lll and son of Edward, The Black Prince who died of dysentery in 1376.
