  1. I rather think he inherited the looks and build from Edward IV, who also put on weight and lost his appeal. Edward only lived to be about forty, though. Imagine if he’d lived longer – he would have been as gross as his grandson.
    If Henry had been heir to the throne from birth, he probably wouldn’t have had all that scholarly background; younger aristocratic sons were destined for the Church.
